Scientists and nutritionists believe that. They believe that the food we eat directly affects the performance of the brain, improve intelligence quotient (IQ), focus on concentration, sharpen memory, and create a 'mind' stay young.

Food of course have an impact on child growth and development. Dr Ang Poon Liat, a senior consultant pediatrician at the Paediatric Centre in Thomson Medical Centre, said that one gene consists of 20 percent and 80 percent of food.

"Food is very important for a particular purpose. You have to eat for brain growth and development, preventing cancer and hormones stabilize, "said Dr Ang.

In addition to breast milk, food was shown to increase the IQ of children and infants as well as academic potential.

Dr Ang identifies eight foods that can 'sharpen' the brain should be given to children. But not only children, even adults can benefit from these foods.
